Job Description

We are hiring a Basic SEO Assistant to support content and website teams with simple search engine optimization (SEO) tasks. This entry-level role is designed for beginners who are detail-oriented and willing to learn how search visibility works. You will assist in keyword placement, metadata editing, content tagging, and internal linking.

Main Responsibilities

Add or update title tags, meta descriptions, and alt text to blog posts or product pages
Insert assigned keywords into existing content while maintaining readability
Organize and label images or documents using SEO-friendly naming conventions
Check for broken links and update or remove them as needed
Tag blog posts or videos with relevant SEO categories or keywords
Track and log optimizations made into a shared spreadsheet or CMS
Optional: Conduct basic keyword research using free tools

Required Skills

Basic understanding of what SEO is (training provided if needed)

Good written English and the ability to follow structured instructions

Detail-oriented mindset and willingness to learn SEO best practices

Required Tools

Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, WordPress, or Wix

Internet connection and basic file organization habits

Optional: Knowledge of Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, or Surfer SEO
